OMG!!!! THIS SUCKS!!!!

Was the first thought when i started my attachment at Vietlink... It really sucks.... especially when the ppl there try so hard to train and brainwash me and KL to learn the 'basics' of the company.... It is so difficult!!! I'm beginning to envy Don (who went for Disney USA) and Nad (who went to Sentosa to do retail).

One thing about working is that I am so freaked out of the idea of 'getting used' to it. Don't you think it creepy when after a few months or weeks of working, you start talking about your job non stop and even start talking in jargon language?
When i started working in NTUC, i got stressed coz i couldn't get my cash float to balance at the end of the day (and so i have to pay the balance). You would start thinking 'cashier language' like 5807 is the key for entering the code for temperate fruits, 5701 for apples, 5901 for fish, blah blah blah.... it's freaky to me....
So now that i'm working in Vietlink, i have to learn the fare basis of the air fare, the type of classes available, the price i have to charge to agents and customers seperately, how to make a visa, blah blah blah.... BTW, Vietlink is a wholesaler, so they have all kinds of customers. And even though it's a wholesaler, it's a small company with 1 boss, 1 supervisor and 2 employees (KL and I)...

So day 1 goes like this: Wan Ling (who happens to be Wei Cai's classmate and knows Donna coz of their own 'Baka Trio' image) starts drowing us with stuff like making a Visa, making bookings, how to use sista system (the system for direct booking with Vietnam Airlines, VN) and how to write a ticket MANUALLY for the customer... Trust me.... this is HARD WORK!!!

Day 2 was when you had all the info in your head and you MIXED IT UP ALTOGETHER!!! Yes! All mixed up!!! The way your brain works so as to bring you to your own disastrous end... I had a terrible headache on that day and I had the 'dun piss me' and 'pissed off' face.... KL told me it was obvious, but well, who cares?? At least, I dun care...
Just realised that i actually ask chim questions A LOT.... especially when they teach me something saying 'do like this can le, dun care abt anything else' Then, i'll start asking 'y like this?' LOL.... Wan Ling was so stumped by my questions and wasn't really able to answer my questions well...
Oh, but my boss can answer well, just that he tends to nag.... nag nag nag....

Day 3 is ok. KL and I managed to get used to the sista system to book tickets. And looks like the boss had already decided that KL will be in charge of ticketing and I will be in charge of sales aka marketing =_=
The ONLY good thing is that i get to get out of the office and run around singapore... and if i finish my job fast, i can go home early.... haha.... But haven started yet, coz i still have to read about vietnam first and the packages that Vietlink provides...
So for today, which quite a not so busy day, KL came in first to open the door and start the business... and ALREADY, she starts to practice on the sista system and practicing on how to write a ticket =_= I had literally nothing to do, so went to my com and started reading Today online. Sabrina (my supervisor) came in 30 min earlier than usual, just in case we had some problems. The rest of the day was KL doing most of the booking, re-confirming tickets and selling them. I lingered around watching her do her job and learnt how to create an invoice from the com during the first half of the day. After that, the boss came in and asked me to start reading Vietlink's tour packages and mostly read about Vietnam itself.... It was quite a relaxing day for me but a stressing and tiring day for KL....

Tmw's Saturday so i'm working for half day and then at 1pm i can go off!!! Hope i wun have a day as bad as KL's....... Wish me luck guys!!!

NOTE: SP Baka Trio consists of Donna, Ivan and Wei Cai coz jus right, there's 3 ppl. It's not becoz they're really baka...... wahaha...

Note2: Will post about HK asap.... maybe on my nxt post???
