YES! I'M BLOGGING AT LAST! WHY????

BECAUSE I'M BLOGGING ABOUT ANIME FESTIVAL ASIA 08!!!! (AFA08)

Lemme start alllll the way from the morning~ (the time listed are roughly remembered, probably wrongly.)

0830: Finally managed to wake up, brush teeth, blah blah..... stuff u do in the morning

0905: Told June I'm gg out soon.............. Took the train, she met me in the train at Clementi station, commented on my sunglasses (told her I use it whenever I wanna slp in the train). She's really full of surprise sia... brought a... i dunno wat's tat called, but yea, something that allows us to use both of our own earphones on my MP4. We listened to Vassalord drama CD together (NOPE, ITS NOT BL), giggled like typical fangirls at Fujiwara Keiji's (Johnny) act cute voice and Okiayu Ryoutarou's (Cherry, oops, I mean Charlie) voice... We didn't get some of the drama cos it wasn't based exactly on the manga... gah~ gotta listen in carefully liao...

0955: Reached City Hall. We ended up jus listening to the seiyuus' voices...walked to starbucks in city link, drank caffine... We were sitting down there, until I saw a MIKO walk past the sweets shop...... 'I SAW A MIKO!!! LET'S GO!!!' Poor June, my pace must have been too fast for her sia... LOL

1030: The queue was FREAKINGLY LONG, but expected. We took the tickets queue and well, queued. June caught a glimpse of big Gundam on display near the entrance and squealed. A young girl was also squealing to her mom (sth abt being happy coming to AFA)... Then we saw our first set of Loveless cosplayer. Ritsuka and Soubi. Not bad lar... but cosplayed by girl, no feel sia =.=

Of course, there's other cosplayers, but.... I ONLY NOTICE LOVELESS, cos of June. LOL, we saw a guy cosplaying as Ritsuka, ahead of us in the queue. Then Ritsuka's sensei... Love the tail :D Then some more common cosplayers arrived..... u noe, the usual, naruto, bleach blah blah...

1130: FINALLY WE GOT IN!!! YEAHIE! Originally the plan was to drool at the Gundam models, but I just started wondering around... mechas have no appeal to me... We found nice drawings by noobies (I assume). June spotted a Renji + Byakuya plushie pic :D We also bought a Fukubukuro at Chuang Yi's stall... Not bad for the price of $10. One random manga + one random anime merchandise, one manga magazine (published by Chuang Yi, not badly done for local mangakas), one water bottle and one pokemon tshirt. I got Boys Preste manga and Furuba fan. June got Hakkai (hanger or sth, not sure) and Blood + manga... seriously CY... YOU SUCK WITH THE FUKUBUKUROU! HOW CAN YOU PUT TWO!!! DROOL-WORTH MERCHANDISE INTO ONE FUKUBUKUROU!!! Ah~ envy June sia...

We came to the Jump booth... surprisingly small and boring. They sold a whole set of Bleach and Naruto (if I'm not wrong) and displayed drawings of PoT, Bleach, Naruto and One Piece... boring~ WHERE THE HELL IS GINTAMA???!!! THIS IS THE REASON WHY GINTAMA IS SOOOOO NOT POPULAR IN SINGAPORE!!

There was Kareshi Kanojyo no Mise... LONG QUEUE =.= we didn't bother with it. But I found a Sadaharu Tshirt, Elizabeth TshirT and SEKIREI JACKET!!! wah liao~ 79.90 =.= sad man.... it looked perfect!

There was also Mangakissa... ugh, seemed boring, not much ppl surrounding tat booth... not much manga selection (at the shop itself and the booth). Then we visited MAGE booth... OMG! ALL DROOL MATERIAL STUFF!!! I was very very surprised, cos when I decided to give up on MAGE, it was cos of the outdated info on anime and manga... but to think they have all those very very interesting merchandise... mostly for fangirls though. There's Bleach, PoT, Furuba (like how come there's always Furuba on every event?!), Naruto, Harukanaru Toki blah blah, X (!!), SHnY, Stigma (!!!), Getbackers, anything else? You see, mostly shoujo stuff... and to my surprise... TOGAINU NO CHI!!! OMG!!!!!!! HOW COULD THEY!!! Makes me wanna dl the bloody sexy smut game :D Ah, there's also YnM, though very outdated (2000 calendar) but still, brings a smile to me XD Oh, I bought a Rurouni Kenshin towel... very wonderful, its full of the characters in RK!!! And somehow, I think I accidentally bought a YnM notebook =.= oh well... And June.... ..... .... I'll just say she bought a lot more stuff than me.

We found Gundam Virtue for June, it was the last one. Then we went to look at the figurines again, and I asked the staff where to get the Gintama ones... she said it was sold by Takashimaya. I found it and got... Hijikata! And note. It's DROOL WORTH Hijikata BEFORE he joined the Shinsengumi!!! And he speaks! Haha~

We walked around, seems that the morning is quite busy... you could see ppl whipping out their ?!@$#%$ worth cameras, taking pics of the cosplayers and the models. Then near the stage, we spotted CAPTAIN KATSURA AND CAPTAIN GINTOKI!!! These two (girls, if I'm not wrong) were cosplaying ep 13!!!!!!!! XDD Of course, two of us crazy fangirls went 'Katsura ja nai! Captain Katsura da-ttebayo!! Ah~ subetta~' heheh

We walked past this particular animation booth... they were showing this old anime, I think. All of the characters seem to be speaking through a voice change mic, all sounded very SD. Anyways, one of the characters growled 'SUGEEEEE' We both found it funny and imitated it... haha~

Oh, there was a shop selling figurines. Its called Latendo. I found a box of Gintama card gum. Its in packets, with a card and a chewing gum in it. Very interesting... I got most of the cards (since I bought the whole box)... The stage was doing MS Igloo, IN ENGLISH... oh well, I dun care much though...

Ugh, and we found ODEX. I thought they weren't participating. Shakugan no Shana, Toradora, Casshern Sins, Code Geass etc were on display. Domo too. Haha... There was two booths selling original artbooks. Ex, but quite interesting. But I'm not so into water paint sia... haha. There was a doujin for... I don't remember. Some moe kei anime. We wondered around for quite some time... then I heard TM REVOLUTION'S OPENING FOR GUNDAM SEED. At first we wanted to take a break, then June said sth abt maybe its the designer for gundam. There was quite a crowd at the stage and the screen was showing the 2nd Opening of Gundam. Then... it was GUNDAM 00 OPENING! L'ARC-EN-CIEL!!! XD then it was mainly a session of the designer's explanation on designing mechas... There was a guy who did a cosplay of a gundam and walked around. People crowded around him to take pics. So did June.

14.20: Then at last we went for lunch at Yoshinoya.

16.00: We got cash at the atm and returned to the convention to pick up our stuff from MAGE and June's gundam. I opened up my RK towel, admired it and poof! OUT CAME KAI AND WS!!! Haha~ no lar, is I blur, nv notice them. I started showing off Kai my RK towel, and Gintama merchandise. I brought him to buy the Gintama figurine, and he bought 2 of them. Just grabbed them straight off the box together. We paid and then he opened the boxes... First was Katsura in his war suit. June said 'sekali he got Gintoki for a pair'. That would be great... really, like it's a pair sia...

Kai opened the 2nd box and he got GINTOKI. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! 'NDAYO KORE!!! RIFUJIN DA!!!!! HE ACTUALLY GOT A PAIR! AND THEY WERE SPEAKING DIALOUGES FROM EP 61! IT WAS EXACTLY THE SAME LINES FROM THE ANIME!!! AND THE SEQUENCE THAT HE OPENED THE BOX WAS THE SAME AS THE ANIME!!!

Zura: Gintoki, omae wa kawatte kureruna yo!'
Gintoki: Omae ga kawatta toki wa, ore ga massaki ni saki kitteyaraa!'

...... I should have got another one... who knows? I might have gotten Okita-kun? Ah, but what if I got Takasugi yarou? And, so cos ALP is a broke timid girl, she decided not to get another one in case it was Takasugi. Anyways, I didn't like Okita in this series of figurines anyways.

We roamed around, came back to Latendo, digged at the random figurines. WS was looking for Rozen Maiden o.0 cool, didn't think someone else would watch that. I found Clannad and Haruhi... digged randomly and found LUCKY STAR!!!!! XD Hehe, hinted at Kai to share. He generously agreed (ugh, luv him~~~). Later at dinner, he took miko Kagami and cheerleading Tsukasa. I had swimsuit Konata and school ver Miyuki. Medetashi medetashi~

Sometime later WS said something SHOCKING. June told me 'he saw Kagura.'

NANIIIIIIIIIIII?!!!!!!

He wanted to look for her again, and so we wondered around the convention. We found Umibozu (omg, it was really an Ojisan. Very bald too :D) and Gintoki. They posed together for WS to take a pic. Seriously I felt very uncomfortable when they were so close. Like... ok, sorry, bad BL fangirl habit. But still... TOO CLOSE. We walked around again, but couldn't see Kagura.

17.20: I think someone started saying that maybe Kagura went for dinner. Ah, before that WS gave me his own account of Kagura.

'I saw her walking to the cosplayer rest area, digging her nose'

NO WAY!

'Joking~ joking~'

Wish I had Kyon's tsukkomi skill.

Anyways, Kai said tat if Kagura is having dinner, she would be digging into a rice cooker now. I think I said sth like, if we spot a mac despatch guy with many bags of EVM, that would be Kagura. Then someone said we should lure her out with sukonbu. We wondered to the seminar section. Kai and WS watched from the back at the mecha designer. Then we got out and the guys went to the toilet. I told June I saw 'Kyon'. She didn't notice... anyways, I assumed the guys went to the toilet together with Kyon bah~ The guys came out, we walked around. Sometime later, I spotted a girl carrying KUMAGUROU and told June. Haha, I want that plushie too! Seems that June likes the idea of using it for 'KUMAGURO BEEEEEEEEEEAM!' I like to use it and say 'KUMAGURO NANO DA!' We also saw Doc Nii from Saiyuki. He didn't look evil, but yea, you noe its him cos of the bunny in his hand.

Also while we were stoning near the stage, the screen was doing MS Igloo. Then Kai told me there was a guest char for this char. He's voiced by FUKUYAMA JUN! Seems to be a rather funny, wacky guy. Too bad they showed it in english. While I was waiting eagerly for that character to appear, June and WS was talking abt the dub. Then there was a mini debate abt how good was the dub between Kai and WS. I just... stared at the screen :D Then the character came... and well, I could only say good choice to have Jun jun act that character. Suits him. SuzuKen is a good choice too.

We roamed around the Odex area... I think WS got excited over Domo, headed to the booth then came back and spat 'It's ODEX.' LOL!!!!! yea, I understand... I boycott Odex too. Sometime later, I saw KAGURA!!! It was near the original artbooks there and she was browsing. We waited (stalked) behind her. WS said 'must keep an eye on her' Haha~ After she seemed to finished her shopping, WS asked her if he could take a pic of her. Of course she nodded and then posed. Pose no 1 wasn't Kagura-ish. I think she remembered her umbrella suddenly and brought it up. With a nice little smile on her face, WS took a pretty good pic of her. VERY KAWAII. She's chibi enough. Her boots are nice too. She was shopping with Gintoki and Umibozu at first. While we were waiting, we realised Gintoki's boots were very high. Probably cos the cosplayer is a rather small girl bah. She needs to be taller than Kagura.

19.30: We went for dinner, then rushed back to catch Mizuki's concert. June seemed to enjoy it a lot, WS was busy video-ing it and Kai seems to be happy too... Haha, I've never heard Mizuki's songs so was really jus listening in...Then he sang Lupin, at last something I noe... haha~ Seems that Mizuki sings for anime/tokusatsu songs... (I happen to dislike the lyrics for tokusatsu's songs). Ah, but generally it was a good concert. There are times when the fans apparently DOESN'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON, but Mizuki keeps it going on well.

20.40: End of Mizuki's concert and we headed back for the station. June was still excited abt the concert and talking abt it. Then she and WS went to 7-11 to get sth... Kai and I waited outside... and we talked abt how it could be better. Seriously, GET JAM PROJECT BAH~ OR AT LEAST, ONE SEIYUU!!! Hehe, like Otakon. That would be great. And really, if it's Ishida Akira, I wouldn't mind paying a hundred bucks just to get close to him.

While we walk through City Link, June said sth abt wanting to cosplay as Ristuka and wanting a Soubi. Then we talked abt Gintama cosplay... hehe secretly, I find it fun to be Elizabeth. Of course, equipped with a signboard :D I can't be Zura, cos I'm not skinny. I can't be Shinpachi cos... well, he's a NORMAL BOY. YOU SHOULD GET A NORMAL BOY TO DO HIM. I can't do Gintoki cos... I dun wan natural perm for myself :p

Kai said we can do human ver of Eli and Sadaharu (like in my fanfic)~ Haha~ yes, appealing... but no one will noe wat's gg on except us!

So somehow along the way, I heard Kai and WS talking abt Cool & Create. June and I talked abt Kumaguro~ Then in the train, Kai said, 'WS is gg to play DS ver of Chrono Trigger'

WHAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!

Yes, he did it in front of me. Loaded Chrono trigger in front of me. Showed me the first few secs of the PS movie. Moved Chrono and Lucca out of the jail and fought the first boss (I think) in Chrono Trigger. IRRESISTABLE. He killed the boss easily, haha~ of course la, dunno play how many times le. BUT STILL, IRRESISTABLE. June showed off her stuff to Kai, we discussed a little on Gintama and soon, we're at Clementi. June got off. Then the guys got off at J east...

Yep, it was a fun day. So much so that I'm actually blogging it down. My only regrets is that I couldn't get Seikirei jacket. It's just too ex. Gah, the RK towel is wonderful!!! XD so is speaking Hijikata.

Right.... so now, lemme publish this post... and on the next post, you're gonna see pics of my rewards....
